Our CCC Portland Fatigue Herringbone Twill Over-shirt is based on the top half of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) M1937 Fatigue Uniform with a small difference. This garment in its’ original form used to be more of a denim jumper than a shirt. You had to pull it on over your head as it did not open all the way to the hem. The soldiers complained about it and then just tore it down the centre to create a shirt, we have done this a little more thoughtfully with buttons. And for our latest version, we have further adapted it with another fabric favoured by the military (and us) - Herringbone Twill Cotton also tough,but that little bit softer with a couple of different colours. something to suit everyone.
